the Art Journey

Explore the unique blend of art and sculpture.

My work is inspired by my social observations and personal perspectives.

The interactions in our personal and social experiences create distinct domains of our family, friends, school,
work, travel, religion, relationships, acquaintances, etc. Within these domains, we present multiple versions of
our ‘self’ because we choose what we hide or reveal depending on the social context and with whom we
interact.

What emerges is always an edited version of our true self. The art, along with the creative process explores and acknowledges the multiplicity in us
and the inevitable paradox of it. By juxtaposing contradicting and contrasting concepts, whether in form,
function or the material used, the work aims to instigate self-inquiry and create the personal narrative for oneself.

What inspires your artwork?

My artwork is inspired by a blend of social observations and personal experiences. I often explore themes of identity, culture, and the human condition, using various media to express these ideas.

How do you choose your materials?

I select materials based on their ability to convey the message of the piece, through form and/or function. Each medium offers unique qualities that can enhance the narrative I wish to share, whether it’s through texture, color, function or form.

What is your artistic process like?

My artistic process involves extensive research and reflection. I begin with sketches and concepts, followed by experimentation with different materials, allowing the work to evolve organically until it reaches its final form.

Can you describe your background in art?

I have a diverse background in art, having dabbled privately before I studied 3D Design, then Ceramic Design followed by Sculpture at Essex University. The education, combined with my experiences in various artistic disciplines, has shaped my unique approach to creating art.

What themes do you explore in your work?

I explore themes on identity, social interaction, personal development, and the intersection of culture and identity, often juxtaposing contrasting and contradicting concepts—such as the hidden versus revealed “self”—within single pieces. The goal is to provoke internal dialogue with self inquiry and to encourage deeper analysis through my art, making it relatable to a wide audience.

How can I purchase your artwork?

You can purchase my artwork through my website or by contacting me directly. I also participate in exhibitions and art fairs, where my pieces are available for viewing and sale.
